स्मृतीबनातून

आज आंतरराष्ट्रीय भाषांतर दिवस साजरा केला जातो. गुरुदेव रवींद्रनाथ टागोर यांच्या नोबेल पुरस्कार प्राप्त गीतांजलीतील काव्याचा मी  मराठीत भावानुवाद केला आहे. अनेक मित्र, मैत्रिणी, गुरुजन आणि जाणकारांनी मला भरघोस प्रतिसाद दिला. त्यामुळे माझा आत्मविश्वास दुणावला.  गीतांजलीतील हे चौथं पुष्प. आपला अभिप्राय अवश्य नोंदवा. Life of my life, I shall ever try to keep my body pure, knowing that thy living touch is upon all my limbs. I shall ever try to keep all untruths out from my thoughts, knowing that thou art that truth which has kindled the light of reason in my mind. I shall ever try to drive all evils away from my heart and keep my love in flower, knowing that thou hast thy seat in the inmost shrine of my heart. गुरुदेव टागोरांच्या गीतांजलीतील हे सहावे पुष्प. कवीने स्वतःला पुष्प प्रतीमे द्वारे व्यक्त केले आहे. म्लान होण्या आधी, माझ्यात काही कमतरता असल्या तरीही मला तू अनुग्रहित करावे असे परमेश्र्वराकडे आर्जव करतात.  ईश्वराच्या चरणी अर्पण होण्यातच जीवनाचे सार्थक आहे, हा भाव यात व्यक्त झाला आहे 1. "Pluck this little flower and take it, delay not! I fear lest it droop and drop into the dust I may not find a place in thy garland, but honour it with a touch of pain from thy hand and pluck it. I fear lest the day end before I am aware, and the time of offering go by. Though its colour be not deep and its smell be faint, use this flower in thy service and pluck it while there is time."(Geetanjali song 6) अनुग्रह मी एक सान फुल, वेचून घे त्वरे पूजेला फुलून जाता गळून मग,   मिळण्या आधी ते धुळीला तुझ्या गळ्यातील पुष्प मालेत, जरी स्थान नसे मला वेदना स्पर्शे टिपून अलगद, तू  घेशील ना आश्रयाला? भीती असे न होवो, अनुग्रहा आधीच दिन ढळला नसेल भक्तिरंग सु'वास' जरी तो, सखोल अंतरी रुजला 2. मूळ बंगाल...

गीतांजलीतील हे 16 वे पुष्प. मूळ बंगाली पण गुरुदेव रविंद्रनाथांनीच केलेल्या इंग्रजी भाषांतरा वरून केलेला हा मराठी भावानुवाद...  आपले साधक बाधक अभिप्राय महत्त्वाचे आहेत.  ब्लॉग आवडल्यास अन्य मंडळींना तो अग्रेशीत करू शकता.
